In 1925, the paved concrete road from New Castle to Enon Valley was completed. In September of that year, they celebrated with an Auto Parade from New Castle to Enon Valley. We would like to commemorate that 100-Year Anniversary by having cars travel down Route 551, rallying at Westfield Presbyterian Church and D & J’s Gas Station to eventually join the Parade at 10 am, at the Meridian Lodge, Enon Valley.
