There will also be a microphone set up where we will remember Jr by the sharing of everyone’s stories and memories. Entertainment will be provided. There will be food trucks for the purchase of food. Red Fox wine will be available for purchase as well as local brews. (NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL PERMITTED). There will be people there to direct vehicles to park, no saving of spaces will be permitted. Vehicles will be parked according to when they arrive. If you would like to park next to another vehicle please arrive together. As most of you know Jr was the current owner of Redden Classic Restoration but throughout his life he had many passions aside from restoring vehicles. Race car driving, dirt bikes, hair scrambles, the Syrian horse patrol and a special love for classic cars are just a few of these passions. Jr was one of the most hardworking people you will ever find. He had a great mind, he loved thinking of new ideas. He was an inventor and secured a patent for the J&J Safety Hitch. Jr.’s nickname of the “crazy old man” was truly fitting for all his inventive ideas and working on everything pertaining to an engine. The event also will include a fundraiser for Sage’s Army, a Hempfield-based drug and alcohol prevention organization, in memory of Morelli’s brother, Jonathan, who died of a drug overdose in February 2013 at 18. Donations will be accepted for Sage’s Army from those motorcycle and car owners who want to participate in a burnout competition — spinning tires and creating smoke. Tickets for the concert will go on sale online beginning Saturday at whiskeythrottlefair.com. A three-day pass will cost $99.99 and allow patrons to exit and re-enter. Tickets allowing fans to exit and re-enter the venue on Friday and Saturday will cost $49.99 and $24.99 on Sunday. Cruzin’ the Square Car Show returns to Wilkes-Barre’s Public Square on Friday, April 25th from 6-9 PM. The Car Show will continue the last Friday of each month through October on the dates of May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29, September 26, and October 31. Participating vehicles will park diagonally in the parking spots around Public Square and in between the concrete planters around the Square. There is absolutely no parking in the middle of Public Square or in the stage area.
